Business and Commerce

WHY DO BUSINESS IN OGDEN:

LIGHT INDUSTRYThe Town of Ogden is located just 15 minutes from downtown Rochester. Three of our industrial parks are located on the corner of Manitou Rd. & Shepard Rd., with easy access to Rte. 531, which quickly leads into Rte. 490. Our town government welcomes light industry to our community and will work with developers and builders to expedite the planning and permit process. Through COMIDA and the 457B tax abatement programs, we are able to make it financially attractive for those interested in locating in our town.
RETAIL ESTABLISHMENTSWe are a friendly and attractive community that can provide more than 20,000 potential customers for your retail establishment. The quaint Village of Spencerport on the canal, and two small nearby plazas that reside in the Town of Ogden now boast successful boutiques, hair salons, a jeweler, a coffee house, restaurants, sweet shops, flower shops, pizza parlors, drug stores, etc.

Many community events, such as Canal Days, the Firemen’s Parade, summer Concerts at the Gazebo on the Canal, and various craft shows bring residents into the heart of our community, and an opportunity to shop.
FOR ALL BUSINESSESAs a government, we are proud to offer local police services to our business community, and an opportunity for your employees to utilize the Ogden Community Center Fitness Center, as well as recreational activities and child care programs.

Many find it convenient to visit the mobile DMV stationed at our Community Center on the third Wednesday of each month from 10:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

In addition, the Town and Village enjoy the support of a very active local Spencerport Area Chamber of Commerce. This organization boasts of well-over 100 members, which focuses on events and projects that enhance our business community.

It is the Town of Ogden’s desire to encourage commercial and industrial growth. For information and/or assistance, please contact Ogden Supervisor, Mike Zale at 585-617-6128.
