Pharmaceutical Waste Collection Program
The Ogden Police Department accepts all medications, needles/sharps, and liquid medications.
Containers Please keep your medications in their original containers.
It is not necessary to cross off your name or personal information.
The name and the dosage of the medication should not be covered up.
Drop Box The drop box is for medications in pill form only.
All other medications and needles/sharps will be collected by a staff member over the counter.
Liquid Medications Will be accepted by staff at the counter. Please do not put these in the drop box.
Medications This includes but is not limited to prescription and over-the-counter medications,
veterinary medications, and nutritional supplements.
Needles / Sharps These must be in a secured container. DO NOT put these in the drop box.
These will be collected by staff over the counter. No loose needles will be accepted.
The Pharmaceutical Drop Box was received through a grant from the National Association of
Drug Diversion Investigators (NADDI).
