Frequently Asked Lodge Questions

Q. How do I reserve a lodge?
A. Payment and Lodge Reservation Form must be received via mail or in-person to rent a lodge.  Dates cannot be reserved until payment and/or forms come in.  Payment accepted includes check, cash, or money order.  Lodge reservations are taken until 4:00pm most days.

Q. Can I enter facilities the day before to decorate?
A. No, you can only enter facilities on the dates and times you requested on your permit.  Entering the lodge at a time other than the date/time on your permit, will result in an additional rental charge and the loss of security deposit.
Q. When and where do I pick up the keys to the lodges?
A. Key pickup is the Wednesday and Thursday before your reservation by 4:00pm. Keys are to be picked up at the Ogden Parks & Recreation Department Administrative Office between 9:00am-4:00pm (please note, the office is typically closed for lunch between 12:00-1:00pm).  A $50 security deposit cash/check is required.

Q. Where do I leave the keys?
A. All keys must be returned to the Ogden Parks and Recreation Department Administrative Office within 3 business days of your rental.  Security deposit will be returned pending the policies have been followed; facility, equipment, and grounds are found to be in satisfactory condition, and if key is returned within 3 business days of rental.
Q. Are there bathroom facilities and heat in the lodges?
A. Both Boetcher and Owens Lodges have bathroom facilities and heat.  These lodges are available for year-round rentals.
Q. Is alcohol allowed in the park? Is there a separate fee?
A. Alcohol is allowed in all facilities. There is no extra fee, however, it must be noted on your permit, and a copy of the applicant’s identification with birthdate is required. (PLEASE NOTE: Glass containers are NOT allowed in the park)
