We're always being asked by our patrons to recommend good books, so we've put together some information here that will help you find your way to some great reading....
  • Novelist - NoveList is a fiction database that provides subject heading access,reviews, annotations, and much more for over 135,000 fiction titles. Italso includes other content of interest to fiction readers, such asAuthor Read-alikes, What We're Reading, Book Discussion Guides,BookTalks, and Annotated Book Lists. You must have your library card with you in order to access this fantastic database from home. (Database access provided by the Monroe County Library System)

  • All About the Book - A blog written by the Library Director about all the books she's read and is currently reading.

  • Staff Recommendations - Book reviews from our staff.

  • Online Book Club - Receive a chapter a day in your email from one or more of 11 clubs. If you like what you've read through the week, request the book from the library and read the whole thing! You must have your library card with you in order to access this fantastic database from home. ( Subscription provided by the Monroe County Library System. )

Some were prepared by librarians in the Monroe County (NY) Library System; others by librarians at the Ogden Farmers' Library, and still others by people who just love to read.
