We're always being asked by our patrons to recommend good books, so we've put together some information here that will help you find your way to some great reading....

• Novelist - NoveList is a fiction database that provides subject heading access,reviews, annotations, and much more for over 135,000 fiction titles. Italso includes other content of interest to fiction readers, such asAuthor Read-alikes, What We're Reading, Book Discussion Guides,BookTalks, and Annotated Book Lists. You must have your library card with you in order to access this fantastic database from home. (Database access provided by the Monroe County Library System)
  
  
• All About the Book - A blog written by the Library Director about all the books she's read and is currently reading.
  
  
• Staff Recommendations - Book reviews from our staff.
  
  
• Online Book Club - Receive a chapter a day in your email from one or more of 11 clubs. If you like what you've read through the week, request the book from the library and read the whole thing! You must have your library card with you in order to access this fantastic database from home. ( Subscription provided by the Monroe County Library System. )

The lists collected here represent a variety of reading interests for adults , teens and children . Some were prepared by librarians in the Monroe County (NY) Library System; others by librarians at the Ogden Farmers' Library, and still others by people who just love to read. You will also find links to sites that list various award winners . Either way, you're sure to find some interesting new things to read!

For Adults

• The Webrary - Browse through bibliographies and pathfinders on topics as diverse as buying a car to romantic fiction to bereavement.

For Teens

• Beastly Books: Horror in the Library - A collection of scary titles for grades 5 and up. Limited blood and lots of ghosts.
  
• Bigger Beastly Books: Harder Horror - Scarier, bloodcurdling tales for older readers. Ghosts, demons and assorted night creatures.
  
• Been There, Done That: Adventure Fiction - Never boring, never still...check out these titles full of daring young men and women as they tempt the fates with their hair raising escapades.
  
• The Chosen Ones: Adoption Fiction - Try something from this collection of sensitive, emotional stories about teens dealing with adoption.
