Birthday Club
for children up to 10 years old

Let the library be part of your child's special day by signing up for our new Birthday Club! Once you register your child, he or she will receive a postcard from the library during the birthday month. Bring the postcard to library at any time and your child may choose a free book from our Birthday Box, have their picture taken, and enter the Birthday Sweepstakes, our once-a-year drawing for a special prize. Summer Events for Children: Catch the Reading Bug

• Reading Game -  Complete a time log by reading 10 hours to be eligible for grand prize-passes to the Strong Museum! Enter weekly prize drawings whenever you visit the library. For children pre-school through 5th grade. Registration begins June 30 and the game ends August 15.
• Join the Bug Club - New this year! Every Friday, 1:00-2:30, the Bug Club will meet for a variety of movies & other buggy activities. No registration is required. Refer to the Bug Club weekly schedule for details! For grades 4 and younger.
  
• Pet Bug Rock Painting - Wednesday, July 9 @ 1:00 pm.  Paint a ladybug or create a bug of your choice.  For ages 4 & up; registration begins 6/25.
• Tie Dye - Tuesday, July 15 beginning @ 10:00 am, with time slots every 20 minutes. Fun for the whole family. Bring your own white T-shirt; registration begins 7/1.
• Take 'n Bake Bugs -  Wednesday, July 23 @ 1:00 pm. Use polymer clay to a create cool, and bake it @ home! For ages 4 & up; registration begins 7/9.
• Zoomobile - Wednesday, July 30 @ 1:00 pm.  Get up close to bugs and other animals. For ages 6 & up; registration begins 7/16.
• "Catch the Reading Bug" Concert with Nan Hoffman -  Friday, August 15 @ 1:00 pm. All are welcome as we end summer reading with a song. No registration required.
