Library Cards

Library cards issued at Ogden can be used at any of the public libraries in Monroe County. The process for getting a library card at Ogden is:
  • For Adults - must provide identification showing your current address. Acceptable forms of identification are
    • a driver's license, learner's permit or non-driver ID
    • car registration or insurance card
    • recent utility bill
    • recent paycheck
  • For Children & Teens ages 0 - 18 - a parent or legal guardian must complete and sign a registration form for each child or teen receiving a card. Only parents or guardians can sign for a child's card. In addition to having a parent/guardian's signature to get a library card, children and teens must also have parental approval to borrow videos and DVDs.
Library cards are required anytime you want to borrow something from the library. The cards expire after two years, at which time library staff will verify your address and phone number and update the expiration date on the card. The cost for replacing a lost card is $1.00. Cards are also necessary if you want to access certain online databases from your home computer via the Monroe County Library System catalog.
