Local Law #5-2007
Town of Ogden winter parking ordinance number 197-24.1 states that the parking of vehicles is hereby prohibited on all highways and rights-of-way within the Town of Ogden between the hours of 7PM and 7AM from November 15th through April 15th of each year. Any vehicle found in violation of this statute shall be considered abandoned. Such vehicle shall be removed by or under the direction of the Police Department as provided in this Chapter.
Vehicles as shown in the pictures below that are parked too close to the roadway or that are parked in the roadway create a hazard for the plow trucks trying to get by. These situations can cause accidents which can result in damage to the illegally parked vehicle and/or the town vehicle. Damage costs to either vehicle would fall upon the owner of the illegally parked vehicle.
