Mission Statement: The Highway Department knows that our roadways are the vital lifelines of our community and that we impact everyone's life of travel. Our department is dedicated to improving and maintaining our roads, to setting standards, as well as keeping them free of snow and ice to ensure the safety of the general public.
We will strive to accomplish this in the most cost-effective manner possible to our tax payers. The Highway Department also handles drainage issues, brush and leaf pick-up, road signage as well as sanitary sewer and lighting districts.
If you have any concerns with these issues, please feel free to contact us. We firmly believe that maintaining open lines of communication with our residents helps us to operate more effectively and efficiently.

CONCRETE WASTE
If you have concrete that you wish to get rid of please contact our office before placing it by the roadside for pickup. We will come out and assess the pile to determine if we can pick it up or if a town truck must be rented. It will depend on the amount of concrete that you have. Truck rental is $35.
LAWN REPAIRS
Any damage to lawns as a direct result from our snow plowing operation will be repaired the following Spring. Any lawn damage as a result of our town road projects will be repaired as well. We will retopsoil and reseed as necessary. Lawn repairs will be handled as the weather allows and as our work schedule permits. Please remember to regularly water any area on your property that has been top-soiled and seeded by the town.
