The Conservation Tree and Shrub Program offers homeowners and landowners throughout Monroe County an opportunity to pre-order more than 60 different species of bare-root conifers, hardwood trees, shrubs, wildflowers, and groundcovers, as well as seed mixes and other products to be used in conservation efforts. By planting trees and shrubs homeowners and landowners can experience the many conservation benefits from erosion prevention to air quality improvement. These trees and shrubs are also aesthetically pleasing and, for the nature lover, produce flowers, fruits or nuts that can provide food for birds, insects and mammals alike.
